Abstract
This work deals with the notion of cognitive assistance to
Human-Machine interaction in virtual environments, and demonstrates the
benefits of such an approach as intentions detection as a possible
source of intelligent assistance. This work is composed of three parts;
firstly, the elaboration of a cognitive view on virtual reality; second, a
theoretical study of the notion of assistance within virtual reality
systems, and finally, an approach which is based on intentions detection.
